Belokurikha
Nature did a really good job on the surrounding landscapes: coniferous forests; granite with funny outlines here and there; meadows with rich mixed herbs. The river Belokurikha (from the Altaic “bele-kur” which means “rowan bridge”), that gave its name to the health resort, twists like a silver tape between the boulders, scattered in small waterfalls.
The main treasures of these places are the nitrogen-silica thermal waters containing radon, whose therapeutic properties have been known for centuries. Enriched with unique salts, with temperatures going from +27°C to +42°C, these waters are wonderful balsams for the treatment of many diseases. Belokurikha’s mineral waters have anaesthetizing, antiallergenic and antipyretic actions on the organism. They beneficially influence the state of the cardiovascular, nervous and endocrine systems, immunity and metabolism. They possess the unique ability to decrease cholesterol, change the blood lipid spectrum for the best. Finally, they fight against aging.
Through the extensive territory from Ural to the Pacific Ocean, the health resort can be rightfully considered as the most promising. There are 16 sanatoriums and boarding houses in Belokurikha, for a total of 6,000 places.
